ok...jr miss didn't happen... that's because i won a different pageant! I am currently east central mississippi's outstanding teen. i am leaving sunday to go to the state pageant in vicksburg. it is alot like the Miss Mississippi and Miss America pageants, (it is ran by the same people), except it is a teen division. i am excited...i am not a pageant girl so i do not know what i am doing which makes me nervous...but i have worked like crazy preparing...so we will see...

i will compete in the following areas:

-interview (thank you speech and debate class!!)

-talent (thank you mrs hermetz!)

-poise (thank....no pray....)

-Active wear (cute gym clothes)

-casual wear (street clothes that reflect your personality, which for me means the classic tailored black pant and a bright, flowy satin top, with black rhinestone heels)

-eveniing gown (self-explanatory...yards of  toole an dchiffon..)

-on stage question ( thank you impromptu speaking)

plus...we had to learn 5 dances!!! i am not a dancer so this was hard...we dance to the following:

-getcha head in the game (from movie high school musical)

-Bop to the top (see above)

these boots are made for walking (try not to laugh)

one (from musical chorus line with original broadway choreography)

we're all in this together (again...high school musical...same choreography from movie..tough stuff)

the other dances were choreographed by a professional choreographer from north carolina...they are hard

anyway...just thought i would let all my xanga friends know what i am up to....

love...sparkles....and world peace....

guess what? i am going to be in the jr. miss program this year!

for those of you who do not know..it is a pagent/scholarship deal. but they get really uptight about calling it a pagent. yeah i know, like on miss congeniality..." it is not a beauty pagent it is a scholarship program"! haha..

it will be on febrauary 18th. i will be playing the piano. i do not have a dress yet. and we will be doing two dance numbers...yeah i know...i am scared too...

one will be two the song men in black and the other one will be to footloose. it will be funny at least.

auditions for the school musical "footloose" are monday...but unfortunatley i have bronchitis..again...so say a little prayer for me that i might regain my voice before monday...

i leave you now with a quote from emerson

" is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood?...to be great is to be misunderstood."

pretty awesome huh?

i am back! ii hope you all have had a wonderful holiday! mine is going great! i am taking a break from decorating the tree to post.

life has been pretty crazy fo rme since i last posted. in october i took the PSAT and the ACT. i am not so sure that i want to do that again. taking them both within a two week span was not the most briliiant thing i have ever done. school is going soo good!

at first...it was really tough, i didn't really know anyone... the first two months were really rough. but now, thinbgs are going great!! i know everyone at school now and i am having way more fun than i was at the beggining of the year. at first i felt so isolated because most of the kids at school weren't exactly angels. (not that i am either..but i think you know what i mean)  but i have learned that in order to not drive yourself crazy...you have to be a little tolerant...notice i did not say compromise or anything of the sort. in order to get close enough to someone to seriously talk to them, you are going to have to look past those sort of things. so, without compromising a bit, i have many friends at school and i am enjoying myself immensly.

i am also now doing the stats for the guys basketball team. i got tired of sitting in the stands...i was used to being the one out there paying....so i decided to get involved in sports in some way...as slight as it may be i am having a blast!!

i hope you all are doing well... i miss talking to you all!

hasta luego!
